What's it like to work with me?


Naturally, I am a very organized person, and I know that it is so important to feel informed and confident when making a big decision, like this one, choosing your photographer; To have clarity from the start - no guessing, no chasing information, just everything you need laid out for you.

That’s why I created this guide - so you can clearly follow my process from start to finish and feel at ease with your choice to book. Honestly, I've noticed this level of transparency is often missing in the search for a photographer, and providing it is important to me. So, let’s dive in.


Working with me is designed to feel effortless, light and enjoyable/exciting from the very beginning. From your initial inquiry to the final gallery delivery, I’m here to help, and answer all of your questions each step of the way.


I'm assuming you found me one of a few ways - A referral, Google, Instagram. However you got here, I'm so glad you did.


Now that we’ve shared our initial hello, let’s move forward on what to expect.

Booking process

To get started, simply send me an email or fill out the contact form on my website. You can expect a response from me within 48 hours. Some clients love hopping on a quick call to connect and plan, while others prefer keeping everything over email — I’m genuinely happy either way. Just let me know what feels best.


Once we have details sorted out, and you have confirmed that you would like to book, I’ll send over your contract to be signed electronically via Pixieset. It covers the basics - package details, payment, timeline, and standard policies. Think of it as a way to make sure that everything we’ve discussed is clearly documented to keep us both protected, and so that there are no surprises. This is standard policy for photographers. Please let me know if you have any questions and I am happy to walk you through it! I will then send over an invoice for the non-refundable retainer portion of your package. You can pay securely online through the link in the invoice.


Once the contract is signed and the retainer payment is complete - You're officially booked, and your date is reserved!


What's next? Do I have to do anything between now and our session?


Prior to the shoot, If you’d like assistance refining the aesthetic (from outfits to location) I’m always happy to curate inspiration and collaborate on the details to ensure everything feels seamless.

day of

On the day of your session, I arrive early to ensure everything is set and running smoothly. (Let you know where to park, meet me, scope out where the lighting is best, and any backdrops!) My goal is to make the experience effortless so we can focus on capturing moments.


During your session, I’ll lightly guide you with natural posing and prompts, while creating space for authentic moments to unfold. I focus on connection, small moments, detail shots, and what feels right in the moment. Most importantly, I want you to feel like yourself. I always have ideas and poses ready to go, but this is your shoot. I want you to get the most out of it. Your session should feel personal and meaningful, and I welcome your ideas to help shape it. Don’t have any? Totally fine - show up and let me take care of the rest.


During weddings, I move quietly, capturing true moments that help tell the story of your wedding day. When it’s time for family, wedding party, or couples portraits, I'll step in with direction, ensuring we get the shots you want without interrupting your day. My goal is to keep everything organic and relaxed. Your photos should feel real, alive, and uniquely yours - moments that take you right back to how it felt to be there - The story, the emotions, the details, rather than just perfectly staged images. I’m here to capture moments, not steal the spotlight.

Delivering your gallery & Payment

Expect some sneak peeks shortly after sessions! Once your session is edited, I’ll upload your images to a beautiful, private online gallery in Pixieset. The link will be shared with you. You can choose to create a password to access your gallery if you would like. The link to your gallery is immediately ready to copy and paste and share with your close friends and family, favorite images, download images in high resolution, and order prints or products directly from your gallery! Clients love reliving the day through their gallery, and I love getting to hear their reactions! Always a highlight.


As for payment, All of your invoices, contracts, and retainers are handled through Pixieset’s Studio Manager, keeping everything in one seamless, organized system. If a balance is due before your session, you’ll receive a secure invoice through Pixieset. You can pay easily with a credit or debit card, or other options offered through Pixieset Payments. Once your contract is signed and invoices are paid, everything — from your session details to your gallery — is neatly organized under your name. No hunting through emails, no confusion, just a smooth, simple process.
